After having attended the “Libera Accademia di Belle Arti” (Free Academy of Arts), the artist has devoted himself to the world of arts for a long time. His main pictorial art research consisted in discovering new techniques, styles and trends. His works, after the academic course, already remind of the paintings of Symbolists and Surrealists. For a short time he painted more classical pictures, recalling Macchiaioli (Florentine impressionist painters) and Hyperrealists. Never satisfied, due to a sort of hunger for research and an interior restlessness caused by a difficult childhood, he’s been always looking for his real self, finally approaching the spirit of Expressionists. All these allowed the artist Gio’ Mondelli to discover “planet Art”.
